File attchments are a cost feature. For every $2 donated, they give you like 20MB a month, or something to that effect.
I think the money is better spent on the ad-free plan...speaking of which...ours is about to run out next month.

I am willing to make a donation since I have a PayPal account now, but all their servers have not yet been upgraded to ProBoard 4 as it was supposed to be finished on may 14th?

There is a link at the bottom of the boards that mentions making the board Ad-free. Payments are made through that link via PayPal. Right now they are not accepting donations...so, next month ought to be free...
