The rules state:
"The name of the 4 Teams will be placed in a hat and drawn, to determine who plays against who in the semi finals."
Seems this could be a way to set it up so the two top teams have to face each other before the finals, allowing a bottom seed into the finals automatically. Why even bother having pool play?
Naturally, I would assume the higher ranked team would at least have home side...but even that could be up to "random" selection?
Who will be making the selection? Possibly a 3rd or 4th seed...Hmmmm.

Not really when you look at who is hosting the tourney. They know at beginning that they can't make the finals, so they get in by making PR and FU fight in the semis. This way they get in and can claim they made the finals... It's called home cookin'.

I agree there. Kudos to UX and all the teams that did enter. Unfortunately, a five team tourney just isn't really a tourney...

I like to see the old days back GrimReapers squad host the tournement the top 3 squad got money CM put the money that \PR/won in to squad server it was good time and money to lot fun I like to talk to nvidia or ati to host a tournement money & prize for the top 3 team I'm just talking don't know how to start I know yall tire of all the bull that some squad talk they make rule that make no sense at all it time for old opus go for now i will see yall in the sky

With only 5 teams in the tourney, I think the best way to handle the playoffs would be that only the top 2 teams make the playoffs. You then have those 2 teams play a best of 3, 1 war each weekend. Should 1 team not have their best available on one weekend, the following weekend could be more beneficial for them.
Another reason could be, so that no team can just sit back and take it easy, knowing they will still make the playoff's. I'm not saying anyone is doing that, its just there... in case they wanted to.

Contrary to what it may have seemed last night...we weren't trying to take it easy. My cable was out most of the day and night...and we had several people that just couldn't make it this weekend...
I don't really care how they do the play-offs...but your win-loss record should count for something going into the play-offs.
