Cool... I'm three weeks out from arriving and already being dragged into interstate rivalry... Bring it on... hehehe.. as a final gesture of trans-tasman rivalry, I'll bring along a 2 litre bottle of water... God knows we wanna give it away at the moment.. it's "Summer" here (10-12 celsius) and we got the fire running! Raining for 9 out of the last 10 days (curiously that coincides with work holidays). It's about 10-12 degrees cooler than normal.. the officials say that Dec was 2.5 deg cooler than average, but then that probably has been made to sound good, cause we ain't got past 20 degrees for at least months and we normally start getting warm in Nov!

The weather nowadays is a total stuff-up. For the first time ever it was so cold on Christmas eve and Christmes day that we had to dig out the blocksplitter and get the fire going. This week's forecast is for mid-30s. Pfft.
From the Weather Bureau today: 2006 was Victoria's third driest year since records began in 1910, with an average of 367 millimetres of rain falling across the state, marginally above the previous record low of 356 millimetres in 1967.

Happy New Year, Gents. Gerald Ford had to interrupt mail service today or I am sure my new copy of 1946 would have been here.
