Hailz,
I have been playing LOMAC solo on Gametap and was wondering if there is still a healthy online multiplayer community for that game before I buy it.
If not, what's a modern combat sim that has a level of realism in flight and instrumentation. Neato website BTW.

There have been records broken for attendance lately in Hyperlobby. One server had 60 people in it- unfortunately no server is really equipped to dealwith that so there were some freezes.. It's not always packed solid to the walls, but still going strong. LOMAC noob siteGetting set up in the first place is where a lot of people give up. This is not such an issue like it was- most newer computers are decent enough to run LOMAC at some level- unlike the early days.. Then you have to get the "flaming cliffs" add on and patched up to the latest version- 1.12b You'd be NUTS to try and fly online without a proper stick. Teamspeak and Ventrilo - comms utilities A track IR is a dandy bit to have.. Online flight in the Hyperlobby is mainly servers set to ACE difficulty. No externals, no labels, no magic radar. Get the books out and get started learning those instruments & procedures, & weapon specifications.

Thanks for the info, seems like a good sim to keep a pilot sharp on his instruments when he can't afford to go up in real life often enough. Just what I was looking for.
Do the Predators play LOMAC?

Not in organized combat. I fly regularly- a few of the guys are in there from time to time.
