All in all- an Impressive setup. Combine that with a game like Lock on, and it is an overwhelming project at the start, but I am slowly getting the hang of it. The profiling software is easy to use, but requires planning on the user's part. There are so many controls to manage, as well as a dozen or more different combat, radar, navigation, and ground attack modes/ sub-modes. Arranging everything logically, and as uniformly as possible is a challenge. Just when you think you haven't missed anything you realize with horror, that you can't control your radar scan cone elevation. I'm still deciding whether or not I should make separate profiles for each platform. The F15 has what, 3 radar modes & 5 A2A combat submodes? ( whoops interupted-to be continued) Now as far as L3- pffft. I can put the whole game on this thing- twice. The thing that will drive me nuts at first is the lack of twisting rudders. Basically I've been flying in nova, using the exact same setup (over 2 sticks) since raptor- so this will be really odd. The X45 is so stiff, plus I can't position it in my lap like I'm used to- flying sidearm is wearing me plum out. SO- enjoy shooting me down whilst I get used to this . If it proves too cumbersome for L3, I'll go get a simpler stick, or just use the spacebar. The trigger on my MSPP2 is getting gimpy on me- that's what got me going on a new stick to begin with.
