Ok here goes !!

I've just bought this flight sim to go with my IL2 Fotgotten Battles and the Ace Expansion Pack and I must admit I am impressed.
Pacific Fighters is a flight sim set in WWII and as the title says in the Pacific. It can be installed as a 'stand alone' game or it can be combined with IL2 FB and AEP. It has over 40 flyable aircraft of which some are carrier based.
PF can be played online in Hyper lobby or Ubi.com and you can fly as a single pilot or (and I like this part ) you and some friends could make up a complete bomber crew .
This sim isnt exactly a install and fly game unless your familiar with the earlier titles, but with a little practice you should at least be up and running. You'll have to get used to the idea of no HUD, no RADAR and no air to air missles ,but you do get a basic map showing enemy positions .

I havent been playing it long ,but its quite addictive from a challanging point of view and there is alot of stuff

PS.... BE WARNED !!!!! due to the security within the software this game will not run with any trace of CD Clone on your computer .

I will certainly be buying this one. The Pacific theatre is my favorite for air in WWII. And it looks like some great planes ot fly...the usual Corsairs, Zeros, and Hellcats, but also the A-20, B-25, Supermarine Seafire, and some 30 some odd others. The IL-2 flight model is very fun, and the graphics here look to be much better than IL-2... And they are about to come out with dedicated 128 person servers for multiplayer, which is what has been missing from Ubi games... Perhaps this game will have the realism of Lock-On with the added bonus of up close and personal WWII air activity.... Gonna try and pick it up tomorrow... We'll have to crew a B-25 Speedy. ;D

Just a quick note I discovered today that like Lock On you can create your on game server so you dont have to use Ubi.com or Hyperlobby. Also Started to use the Full mission builder ,but havent got the hang of it yet.

I picked up PF yesterday. It's a blast so far. Still learning the controls and everything else. Speedy and I got in a server yesterday for a bit and did some dogfighting. It was pretty fun. With the ability to multicrew some of the vehicles, this game has some serious potential. It will all depend on how they set up this 128 person server they keep talking about...
